What do we expect from a Shiftleader?
Within our team, there is a pressing need for enhanced direct supervision of Operators. This gives Operators the opportunity to ask questions, make comments and become better informed about developments, promoting engagement and mutual understanding.
Achieving departmental and team goals is crucial, with explanations of the why and how behind them. It also focuses on identifying needed resources and encouraging continuous improvement. Actively managing to increase ownership and responsibility is an essential task for the Shiftleader.
Team building deserves more attention within Operations, as a well-functioning team can achieve a lot. The Shiftleader plays a central role in this.
We strive for opportunities for employees to develop personally through training and knowledge sharing. Proper induction, training and supervision of new employees are of great importance.
The Shiftleader will improve steering on KPIs by confronting employees with deviations from the standard and expressing appreciation when targets are achieved or useful improvements are made. The Shiftleader is not a cooperating foreman, but will be hands-on involved with more emphasis on management tasks. To provide maximum support to Shiftleaders, we offer coaching by Production Managers and tailor-made training courses.
What will you do?
As Shiftleader, you are responsible for creating commitment and gaining support within the team, achieving targets and cultivating an atmosphere of continuous improvement. You achieve this by having open and constructive conversations, discussing needs and solutions. You work to increase ownership and responsibility within your team, promote effective communication and encourage team building to achieve smooth operational flow.
Duties and responsibilities:
What is your profile?
You do not need a completed MBO education, but it is appreciated. More important is your demonstrable experience in a leadership role. With a strong personality and excellent communication skills, you are someone who does not hesitate to take the lead and make quick decisions. You are fluent in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing.
